Contract Ratified!

AFSE members overwhelmingly voted to ratify the 2008-11 contract.  Nearly 90% of AFSE members voted in the online election.  Later in the day, the NEA Executive Committee also voted to ratify meaning the contract is now in effect. Thanks to Rocio Inclan and Betty Jeung for the smooth operation of the online election.

Everyday, we work with our members to obtain fair contracts and to reject take-backs from management during bargaining, yet every proposal sent from NEA management during bargaining has contained some form of take-backs.  AFSE calls on NEA to practice what “we” preach.
