Jul:

ok, 'nother piece of the puzzle.
you're working at the nat'l level, so "affiliates" mean state groups like cta...but from the gateway article it looks like CA is not a user yet. what's up w/ that?

i'm still kinda surprised they brought you in to present - we're not exactly a target audience...or maybe in a grassyroots sorta way.

just speaking for myself anything nea-related usually seems quite far removed from every day impacts. yeah, i know they lobby for me in d.c. - one big fish in the political pond talking to others about nickel-b evils. but i think my immediate concerns are educating my chap's board and site reps on how technology can help us organize more effectively & POSSIBLY collaborate (both without add'l time & money). so to that end, if your site's ppt goes through an umpteenth revision from that angle - i'll grab it off youtube, carrier pigeon or bike messenger to put it to use.

hmmm, an nea- or cta-sponsored grant to fund time out of the classroom to allow local chapter webmasters to launch & build out a website/blog, etc., provided it ties into the broader vision of advancing technology integration in educational practices would make quite a tasty morsel

yep
