2009 State Leaders Summer Conference

New Rules, Cool Tools

National and state association leaders met this week in Portland, Oregon to partake in business and workshops.

Over 60 leaders attended the "New Rules, Cool Tools" workshop to learn about the latest advancements in technology--augmented reality, semantic Web, and the latest in social networking architecture. Attendees examined how these technologies are challenging traditional organizing methods, forcing them to examine new more modern, creative approaches to collective action.
