* Develop a written description of your team's practicum using the Practicum Proposal Guidelines (attached). Think about the answers individually and then spend some time as a team discussing them.
Please keep this in mind: The practicum is intended to be an opportunity for you to enhance your learning. The project needs to be manageable, have a clear beginning and end, and these boundaries need to be contracted with your client. Besides what is agreed to with the organization in terms of sharing data collected, there should be no expectation that you will be conducting a full-fledged OD intervention. The project selected should be one that supports and focuses your learning and use-of-self without undue pressure or consequences from the client system.
* Review the selected diagnostic models in Diagnostic Models (attached). Focus on Pages 1-2, 4-6 (GRPI), 9-11 (Bolman and Deal) and 30-32 (Weisbord).
* (Re) read Chapters 3 (The Issue of Change) & 4 (Learning, Power, and Action Research) in the Carnevale book. To review Action Research and use of data, take a look at this website to get examples of Action Research’s application in education http://gse.gmu.edu/research/tr focusing particularly on the topics beginning with the Question cycle through Drawing conclusions.
